  1. Seems like battery drainage is a major problem on all devices, heard many people having same issue on 12, 11 pro and SE2

  2. Find My app is always been closed. It been opened only 3 minutes yesterday to configure the AirTag.

  3. My guess is that because your phone can’t know whether it moved (GPS is off), it constantly tries to communicate with the AirTag for some reason. Does this happen if Airplane mode is off?

  4. I can relate to your pain.

This was happening for the past few months since OG Big Sur release with me.

I got a MacBook pro 15 inch 2019 (the last one they made lol) . Every night it went down by a solid 60 percent!!! Finally got fixed with 11.3 where it drops 5% only

  5. Why do people put their phone in airplane mode at night? Bluetooth and cellular takes very little battery if just idling these days.

If you just don’t want to be reached overnight that’s what do not disturb should be used for.

  6. When an iPhone being featured with many functions, Apple really should start revolution of battery improvement. It’s critical,

And I have most unnecessary Apps/Services uninstalled as much as possible, or stopped, to save the power for basic contact

    *Unusual*? It’s expected

Edit: Apple really should reconsider its rule of battery usage among its iPhone product line

  7. Thought it was my phone, although I do not have air tags, my battery drain has been hugeeee. My current battery health is 83% on an iPhone 11

  8. THIS. I have been having this problem on 12 pro for a few weeks and after 2 or 3 iTunes resets its better. Im not enjoying the latest versions of iOS. Apple get your shit together.

  9. I know this isn’t what you’re trying to fix but,

My question is, why don’t you leave it charging through the night?

iPhone has a feature that won’t charge your phone to total capacity until a little bit before you wake up.

It works well as long as you have a decently routine schedule.*

Like I wake up between 6:30-7:30, my phone waits to charge and times it so it gets to 100% around 6:00.

*It does take some time for it to learn. So the first maybe week, it will probably charge it right away because you have it trained that way.

  10. I had a problem like this, and it turned out that where I set my iPhone at night had very bad cell signal. Bad cell signal can contribute to faster battery drain as the device is constantly trying to connect and search for a better signal/tower, draining the battery. When I left my iPhone in a spot with better signal, my unusual battery drain stopped.

Perhaps this could be helpful to you.

  11. Stop turning off any features at all. Leave everything on. My phone doesn’t use anything at night. The only people who complain about battery are people who turn off antennas.

  12. Can confirm having the same issue.
Since I got an airtag set up on Friday my idle drain has been increased a lot, and find my shows as top app in battery stats overnight.

  13. It’s seems that since iOS 14.5 is out optimized battery charging is not working anymore. My last 2 charges didn’t stop at 80%.
It’s seems to be the same in your vidéo

  14. **Update**: Tonight, just like all nights, I set Airplane Mode on again, fortunately the battery only dropped by 2%, as always. There may have been a bug with the AirTag. I will try again one last time this night. Thanks to everyone for the support.

  15. u/luceparadisiaca I have been seeing this since adding an AirTag too, Find My (which is closed) is happily consuming 41% of battery and I lose between 20-30% overnight.

<edit> I just updated to 14.5.1 so will see if there has been any patch for this behaviour
